SEE HOW KENYANS ON SOCIAL MEDIA REACTED AFTER JANET KANINI IKUA DISCLOSED THAT SHE HAD STAGE 4 CANCER

A few days ago NTV’s N-Soko
Property Show host Janet Kanini Ikua took to social media to
share heart breaking news that she had been disorganized
with lung cancer just three months after she was diagnosed
with another condition- Deep Vein Thrombosis.
The soft spoken TV host, who was forced to travel to India to
seek specialized treatment, disclosed that she was undergoing
treatment to get rid of the cancerous cells adding that she
was positive that she will soon be healed.
“So here’s what the latest medical reports say. Lung cancer.
Stage 4, meaning it has spread from the primary lung site into
lymph nodes. Clearly my body is staying true to my love for
drama and theatrics because a blood clot has also decided to
hang out in the heart muscle. Doctors have called it
‘organized’ – yaani it’s fixed in the muscle with little chance
of moving so I’m safe from that. We can focus on treating the
cancer. ” part of Kanini’s statement read.
Janet’s confession has seen her fans and colleagues take to
social media to sympathize and encourage.
Among those who have wished the TV anchor a quick recovery
include Homeboyz’s radio presenter Talia Oyando and Ebru
Tv’s Catharine Kamau who expressed their optimism that
Kanini will soon recover.
“Im not even worried about you sweetie because Gods got
you. #istandwithjanet #CancerSucks .. Hey Cancer F u ….
#janetkanini” Talia Oyando said.
On her part, this is what Catharine had to say:
“I stand with #janetkanini it shall be well .CAncer you are
defeated be strong mama”
Dennis Itumbi, Janet Mbugua among other Kenyans on social
media, also took to Kanini’s page to wish her well:
Sophie Ikenye – Stay strong girl. ” May I fulfill the the purpose
for which YOU have let me see this day” are the words I
declare every morning. God bless. I’m inspired by your
attitude.
Dennis Itumbi- Brilliant. It is good you have shared. I am
personally touched. This is a sermon I must share. Thanks
Janet Kanini Ikua May God hold your hand and please keep
sharing, a weekly journal of your journey would help. I
promise to be part of your journey
Janet Mbugua Ndichu- You’re a strong woman Janet.
Reading hour experiences here choked me up, not because I’m
feeling sorry for you (you are so strong that one can only feel
nothing but admiration for you!) but because you’ve made
many people reflect on their own lives. Your faith is also
testimony to how prayer and support can carry you through
the darkest of times. May God guide you, lift you, heal you.
May He give your family peace and use you to minister to
others. God bless
Risper Genga Ohaga – I cried foolishly in the office while
reading your post. Your writing is like nothing I have read
before (and I read a lot). I pray that God has His way in this,
that He has mercy on you and yours and gives complete
healing to you and gives strength to you and your loved ones.
For we see only in part, but someday we shall see the whole.
Bless you
Wambui Mwithiga Mungai – Janet you are probably the
strongest woman ive seen(read). Your post brings tears to my
eyes but not because of your afflictions but because of how
you have chosen to praise God and uplift his name through all
this. I leave you with the words in Deuteronomy 31:6 Be
strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them,
for the LORD your God is the one who goes with you. He will
not fail you or forsake you.”
Alice Wanja – I still believe I shall read the post that says you
are fully recovered,it doesn’t matter what you can be a
first….where you recover fully in incomprehensible shortest
time….keep the faith,be strong in the Lord.
Nancy Sakka – God come down don’t send anyone. Come
down and heal your servant. Listen to her cry. Janet He sits
on the throne. You are on His palms. You shall live to declare
the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
We wish Kanini a quick recovery.
